@chasepetrosino Look listen man I'm not in the mood to listen to your Bullshit, you wanna see a 'different' or above average movie watch Delicatessen, Naked Lunch, Brazil or El Topo - don't give me that crap that this film was so different from the norm! It was your typical bog standard & overrated movie!

@CiaranVanDon Drive didn't try and be cool, it just was as cool as you can get. The movie oozes with confidence, and the tension is cranked up high throughout the flick. The acting is terrific, great performances from Gosling, Brooks and Cranston. The soundtrack goes great with the film as well. It's a different film, not your average Hollywood film, so it might be a little shock to your system. Refn did a great job directing, Drive deserved to be nominated for more awards if you ask me.

Yes, Kid Cudi sampled this for his WZRD song 'Teleport 2 me, Jamie' and it was a good song. But dont anyone dare say that its better than the original.

@CiaranVanDon But now that's just differing personal preference, which I can understand. If someone who hates off-hand kooky dialogue, they might not like Pulp Fiction but that does not make it a bad or overrated movie. You don't like Drive for those reasons? Sure, whatever. But Drive did not 'try hard' to be 'cool'. It wasn't one of those faux-indie projects that wears its indie status on its sleeve. It was earnest, well-made and an excellent genre picture.
