@demztaters Definitely darker than For Real, since it's more of a rush, like banging your head against a wall. Westfall is scary in its own way, but since I'm familiar with the feeling Will is portraying in this song, I'd say Black is most definitely the darkest song out there.

new favourite song! i really had to fight to get this one. The man in the radio said the name of the song and i was looking for something like "ackawell", "ackerwell", "aquawell", "ockerwell", "ockerville" etc. etc. the song name "black" didn't help me much.
Finally i found it! Yeah! :)

If you're not listening to the words your missing out big time. He's an acclaimed lyricist. In this song alone, he is coming to terms with news that is devastating for him to hear. His girlfriend has just told him that she was once molested by her father. Throughout the song he goes through a range of emotions... confusion, anger, wants justice, wants revenge, to protect her, but he feels helpless. But the most heart wrenching emotion is "... when I watch you im proud". He goes full circle

before he tore it all down.. April 12th.. nobody else around.. when he put in you in a car..when he took you down the road... baby daughter... wrapped up warm in daddys coat.. I cant believe what you're telling me.. If I could have somehow never let that happen..I'd call some black midnight...fuck up his new life where they dont know what he did.. ITS pretty obvious if you listen to what he is saying. Thats the irony of the upbeat jingle in the background.
