  • @crissrudd4554 Well that's what my parents told me I felt sorry for them then again I saw Episode VI first with my babysitter when I was 7 so I had to go back and figure it all out from there

  • @historyfreakfroman Haha indeed. To be honest I did not know the first trilogy was 4-6 until around the time Episode 1 came out since I was young then and didnt really read yet.

  • @crissrudd4554 And every adult/kid was confused...

  • @McLarenMercedes from what I heard the 1981 re-release was when Episode IV A New Hope was added to the crawl

  • I would be ok with the rerelease if they would release the original ones in blue ray with no changes.

  • @KAM32296

When Star Wars was re-released in 1979 (in preparation for Empire Strikes Back and all those that hadn't seen it back in 1977) it was titled "Episode IV-A New Hope".

Lucas claims he would somehow make the sequals, even if Star Wars would have flopped. He'd make them "low key".

Btw, in the original draft the Death Star wasn't blown up until in the third movie, but since Lucas didn't know if he'd ever make the sequals he had it blown up as the final of his first SW movie.

  • @KAM32296 no there was. The prequels were planned back then, its weird

  • I love Star Wars, I've always been a huge fan. I will be the first to state that originals were great as they were originally released, but I get tired of hearing all the "purists" complain about what has happened since. Star Wars as it exists now is still fantastic, and tells a great story as a complete arc about the story of Darth Vader. We can all disagree here and there, but I think that all too much fuss is made over the changes George has made to keep his story consistent.

  • @denny906 No, it was always yellow.

  • Whats weird in the "Empire Strikes Back" original opening crawl it says episode v

WTH? There wasn't plans of a prequel at the time (1980), I think?
