To the negative comments: I think some Moms just want to blame someone for their guilty of feeling "bad" for their decisions and unfortunately I get the majority of it from some of them. They are the type of people that need someone to blame...The biggest issue for most is the remark about a propped bottles...w/ that said again they made an incorrect assumption. What most don't realize is it's not an attack, it's not saying that FF Moms or BF Bottle Moms are pushing their kids away, neglecting them, so forth, it's when a child become old enough to hold their own bottle or sippy cup they don't HAVE to be held *even though plenty of Moms do prop up bottles regardless of age* so they can sit & play w/ their drink independently if need be, where as a BF baby regardless of age HAS to be cuddled to get their drink....so BF babies via breast get more cuddles. You're right I did FF my daughter there at the end, and I WILLINGLY & KNOWINGLY made the decision to TTC w/ the possibility of her ending up on FF b/c of it and still pushed forward w/ our decisions. I don't think anyone should judge a book by it's cover, judgmental isn't the way to be, and assumptions are uncalled for regardless of the decision. A mother isn't a "bad mother" because they FF even if they didn't even attempt to BF still not a "bad mother"...a "bad mother" is one who doesn't feed their child and neglects their children. FF can & has saved lives. It should still be a last resort, I will always agree w/ that, but everyone has their reasons & decisions for the route they choose and I would NEVER put down a mother simply b/c they FF fed....I would NEVER make a mother feel like crap for making that decision either, it's their own guilty that eats at them, that makes them feel like they are being attacked, & I can say that because I have BEEN there. I also saw Stephanie/Jack make a remark about education should be helping mothers overcome the BFing obstacles. Well this is directed at her, regardless of the RUDEST COMMENTS I HAVE EVER RECEIVED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE from people like Jen P, & Sonia even w/ them putting me down to the world, guess who comes to me when they run into BFing/Cloth Diaper issue, THEY DO. Not once have I EVER turned my back on them for what they have done to me, b/c it's not the babies fault, their Mother's behave the way they do, and I nicely reply back & help in every way I can. I have NEVER turned a person away even when most would have after situations like that. I get SEVERAL messages a day in my inbox for "help to overcome BFing issues" but people don't see that, they don't see me up at 3 am loosing my own personal precious sleep just so I can reply back to Moms in great detail to try to help them in anyway I can when it comes to breastfeeding & support.

I'm sorry but I think I have to agree with Baelejandro. I feel so uncomfortable in public when a mother just pops out her boob infront of everyone to feed her baby. It's not hard to cover up and be respectful. Not every person; parent or not, wants to see your stuff out. I plan on breast feeding my children but there's a way to do it.

I am a fan of fed babies, whether nursed, bottle fed, fed by wild wolves, whatever. I encourage women to TRY to nurse.The first few months can hurt and other issues may arise, but when it works, its magic. I wish that people would stop taking it as a personal affront when a woman talks about nursing. Not all people can or will nurse, but encouraging even one person to try makes a difference. I have nursed for 27 months and am 37 weeks pregnant. I will tandem nurse my wee ones until I stop.

Lucy i watch your channel, stephanies and loras channel also, I watch the three of you for different reasons and agree and disagree with some of the things that have been said, thats my own opinion, I was 19 when I had my son and the nurses in the hospital were no help or support with breastfeeding i felt alone and a failure when i couldnt get my son to latch on, soooo rather than argue just be thrilled that the 3 of you could do it and that each of you are giving information to people like me!

@stephlonergan22 Breastfeeding isn't easy for most, especially not firs time Moms. Lord knows I encountered every problem known to mankind when it came to nursing my daughter. W/ out the support & knowledge it is beyond easy to not succeed w/ a successful nursing relationship. I too was alone while nursing her & it felt hell. I Thank God with my son it was a breeze but I think that was due experience & education. I'm sorry you had a hard 1st time but praying the next is amazingly easy :)

honestly I feel like too many people blew this WAY out of proportion! I was a formula feeding mom, my daughter could not breastfeed bc she had auite a bit of allergies and had to be on a special formula to keep it under control, NEVER was she propped with a bottle, always help while eating. BUT I have however seen mothers who play a child in a boppy or bouncy seat with a bottle propped up on a blanket and walk away. Do I wish I could have BF my baby, of course. But it isn't always an option.

If people are offended by someone feeding they're child in public then dont look! Poor child shouldn't be hidden away when they are trying to eat! Jeez it's natural! Oh and I'm a FF Mum!

can't wait to have a child of my own.

I personally think and know breasts where made to feed your baby,

some people choose not to nurse there children that is their personal preference.But i want to exclusively breastfeed for 1 year+ that would be my ultimate gaol. I pray that i will be able to feed my child/children the natural way. Lucy i look up to you as an amazing role model, and look forward to your advise in the future. And promise to watch your videos until i die.

IMO all this crazy stuff is just that!!! CRAZY!!! Since when did we pick apart eachother over parenting issues???? Never once does she say or write that if you don't breastfeed your a bad mom!!! This video I'm sure was her good intentions on promoting something she is passionate about! Just because you disagree doesn't mean your right or her...life is just a bunch of opinions but if we loose passion now what is there to live for?
