Upgrading Dell Axim X50 (mid) to WM6.1 Part 1

This is how to upgrade the Dell Axim X50 Mid (520 mhz, wifi and bluetooth) from WM5 A02 to WM6.1 L04. The procedure applies to LennySH's WM6 rom as well. WARNING!! This is ONLY for the X50 (mid), not the X50 (low) or X50v!!

b/c if i press reset button it doesnt reset either...

@brassmky7 Try pressing reset while holding the wireless button and see if you can reflash wm2003se, i don't have a copy of that nb0 or crc file so you'd have to find it elsewhere... otherwise it's bricked.

I mean my comp automatically disconnected the device. Then my pda froze... yes upgrading to wm5 A01

@brassmky7 Perhaps it finished? Did you hit power+reset at the end? If it did freeze, have you tried hitting reset?

hey, i tried following the steps dell provided and my usb automatically during the upgrade disconnects itself and doesnt proceed with the installation... this is killing me man! why is that?! help me~

@brassmky7 Upgrading to wm5 A01? Did it flash the bootloader or did it brick your device?

yeah, i think it is bricked too. reset while pressing wireless doesnt do any good. It just says, "System update utility A01. Wait for USB to be ready..." and won't budge. So I have to remove the battery to start all over again. What should I do now?

it just says your pda has been disconnected and won't read my usb. Is there a different way to upgrade it? could u walk me through step by step please~?
