haven't really tried by purpose but i've noticed that a masse can be done with topspin and elevated cue, or atleast it has think that's what has happened to me a few times..? going to try it next time i play pool

You're right ... the curve probably wasn't necessary for this shot, but the principle is still valid.

Agreed ... a curve probably wasn't required on this shot. Going rail first is also another option here. Although, the point of the video is still good ... it is relatively easy to curve the CB a controlled and small amount when necessary.

Dear Dr. Thank you for you prompt response. i was always wondering how it worked and was not able to concentrate on the game.
Now that i know i think i can play better.

I'm glad you mind will now be on the game instead of the ball-return mechanism. :)
Get your mind out of the gutter. :)

If the cue ball and and other ball both go down the hole , how is it that the cue ball is received
what is the mehanism
MrAks34 1 year ago
Most coin-operated "bar boxes" use a strong magnet in the return chute to pull the cue ball down an alternative path. The cue ball for these tables is made with embedded pieces or filings of metal that is attracted to the magnet.
Other approaches include using a slightly heavier and/or slightly large cue ball to allow separation mechanically.
