Talking to your pets is cool until you remember everything you ever done in front of them.
-
@Fr3k3 but that's not us communicating with dogs, it's dogs learning our behavior. We would need some sort of ass sniffing / pee analyzing vacuum or something to pick up the pheromones. That's how dogs share their personalities and feelings.
-
@tiansivive but if animals could talk so we understood them... it would actually count as murder killing them. i know many who turned into vegetarians because they saw how animals were treated. and if the animals could talk for themselves...
-
@fluteplayer7mce probably the same amount of people who are vegetarian now.... pretty much because, just like me, most people who aren't vegetarian think it is a stupid concept

Dogs pick up on tone of voice and body language just like humans do.
You can scream good job in a demeaning tone of voice, and the dog will think you're scolding it. You can say no in a nice rewarding way and it'll think you're giving it praise.
communicating with animals isn't so much as what you say, but rather how you say it. and of course your body language.

Slight disagreement here, not in principal but upon specifics. As far as animals go, humans have spent thousands of years with dogs and are more in tune with eachothers languages than has been shown among any other two unrelated species. Tests show that humans can listen to recordings of dogs barking an distinguish whether the bark was confrontational, playful, attention seeking, etc. Likewise dogs are more capable of reading human body language and facial expressions than even chimps.

@DevasionX if everyone of his close followers could donate him years that would be cool. id donate a year

u cannot truly decipher the meaning of animal language without being an animal. Just look at human laguage. The only reason why you understand thw word "house" is that you've seen a house and when you look at the word "house" it triggers a memory of the experience. With animals, you don't have any animal memories or experiences to draw from so you don't really know what they're saying.

Animals have languages but not free will. Their languages are just reactions to whatever is happening; like when humans yell "ouch", we are reacting to pain without thinking.
Can someome please give this man 100 years more life?
