Wah Wah Wah Wah. cry me a river. Everytime you brush your teeth you are killing millions of bacteria why arn't you protesting that. Your cloths are probably made by slave children somewhere in asia but thats ok as long as they are not killing rabbits. These rabbits are born in captivity and they don't feel a thing. It could be alot worse. Plus would you want treatment from a doctor who has seen a video or practiced on a living creature, i know what i would want.

Well if the procedure is so innocuous, offer up your first born child to have their throat cut open by third year physiology students, who are not being taught surgical techniques, but simply repeating an experiment that has been performed time and time again with a completely predictable outcome. Babies are effectively bred in 'captivity' too, and in their early years have less intelligence than rabbits. (continued next comment)

It's very comfortable to label these animals 'rabbits' or 'mice' or 'monkeys' or some other species - this way they are the 'other' - an amorphous group rather than individuals. If you've ever taken the time to get to know an animal, you'll know that every sentient individual has their own personality, a desire to continue to live and the ability to suffer or flourish. Bacteria, as far as we know, are not sentient beings, but even if they were, we would not be able to avoid killing them. When we can avoid it, we should. Empathy is humanity's saving grace - without it there would be no end to the destruction wreaked upon not only our own species but the planet as a whole. By the state of the world, it would appear we need lessons in empathy more than killing in the classroom. (end)

I'm a monash student myself and I COMMEND your actions. I honestly believe our med/ science faculty should adopt your rant "monash kills, blood spills" as our new motto to just piss you hippies off. There are more important things in society to be protesting about. Get off our campus and let us learn in peace. Your actions are futile...
