THERE'S A RISING MOON FOR EVERY FALLING STAR. I HAD NEVER HEARD THIS SONG BEFORE OR SINCE. DORIS DAY AND GIG YOUNG LoOKING MIGHTY FINE. TOO BAD HE WAS AN ALCOHOLIC AND DIED BEFORE HIS TIME; HE WAS A WONDERFUL ACTOR. DORIS DAY WAS AT HER VERY BEST IN THIS RE-MAKE OF A MOVIE. IT'S THE FIRST RE-MAKE I'VE EVER SEEN THAT WAS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. THE ORIGINAL STARRED PRISCILLA LANE AND JOHN GARFIELd, AND JEFFERY LANE. THE MOVIE WAS CALLED BY A DIFFERENT TITLE.

I'm 60 and this is still my favorite movie of all time. It's the first video I ever bought. Gig Young may look great but she ends up married to Frank Sinatra and they lived happily ever after.......with Light'ning.

I was a young guy of about 40 when I first found this movie; I fell in love with all the

actors. What a script!!! Beautiful songs and story line.

"You know, lightening can be manufactured" What good writing and acting from Frank in this movie!

Great comments. This was a truly wonderful movie. They will never make them like this anymore. Movies have gone sucky dicky Star Bores animation.

In "Young at Heart" she sang my song "Hold Me in Your Arms"----in the beach scene. What a thrill to have that happen. Lyrics by Charles Henderson (brilliant) and me. Written in one afternoon----heard that evening by Miss Day. She liked the song---the rest is history. Thank you Doris Day for the thrill of you singing one of my earliest songs. Don Pippin

Does the WACO in your name have to do with WACO, TX? I lived there in '83. I LOVE DORIS DAY..Did you know she started as a JAZZ SINGER IN CINCINNATTI? My favorite song is

"SECRET LOVE" & My favorite movie is "CALAMITY JANE", she played a tom-boy & I could relate to that. A woman with gumption, audacity& self-respect the way we were raised at the time..Good & SASSY! ha, ha..PEACE VIA MUSIC..VIVA MARIA!

Well, I'm 61 and I adore this film.

It broke my heart when Laurie didn't marry Alex. In the original, the Barney character dies. But Sinatra just wouldn't! So it ruined the whole thing. If he had, Laurie and Alex could have got back together (as the couple did in the original). They were SO right together. There was no chemistry between Sinatra and Doris. I blame him, though!
