  • Of all the songs on this album, why would he pick this one to sing like that? It's Judas Priest, man. And Bobbys usually got pretty high pitched vocals.. I think it would have been amazing if he sang normal. However I do like it how it is

  • I agree with you but I think the treble is the part where the singer stands out more

  • Bobby should of sang in his normal higher-pitched style, this is boring.

  • Shut up you'll know you sing well ..

  • is this even overkill?

  • As a kid growing up on metal,I always considered Overkill as a generic,second-hand Maiden type of band. This cover of Tyrant changed my perspective.Me like.

  • @MrGnarShredder I like this cover too, and I'm not just saying that as a Priest and Overkill fan. And I'm pretty sure some of the vocals on this were done by Joe Comeau (one of Overkill's guitarists at the time, he later went on to sing for Annihilator), hence why it doesn't always sound like the "usual Bobby" vocals.

  • @GHeroandRScape That's not true. Fates' Warning's cover of 'Saints in Hell' is awesome, and so is Blind Guardian's cover of 'Beyond The Realms of Death'

  • The music is solid!!!

  • I only liked the ending. "FAAAALLLLLL!!!

  • @GHeroandRScape Think so? Check out Testament's version of "Rapid Fire". It'll melt your face off.

  • @GHeroandRScape Mercyful Fate's version of The Ripper exceeded my expectations at least. :P

  • This is not good. The really sad thing is that Blitz is one of only a handful of thrash-singers that could actually have pulled this off vocally. But he dropped the ball on this one. Ah well, Overkill still rock. To those of you who judge them based on this cover, don't. Get their old stuff, Feel the Fire, Taking Over, etc, that's good stuff.

  • I like it. I love Overkill and I'm not forcing myself to love it, but the solo's were good, the riff is there, the verses are a bit off, and Blitz has a great voice for this. I do know that album was recorded over time and a few line up changes, some solos are played by different guitarists and some backing vocals are off but I like it. Don't love it, it's not the best Priest cover but it's better than some.
