  • I am 45 years young....I live in the past...Jack benny was and always be the best comedian. You can take all the so called actors and actresses of taday and throw them back in the cesspool.Jack benny, harry langdon,ed wynn, three stooges, marx brothers, abbott and costello, laurel and hardy, those were class acts....

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my video! It means alot to hear from you guys! I'm glad you liked it...and I agree, the good old days of radio and tv are gone...we need more clean comics and gentle humor today! Everything has become so crass and jaded...any topic is fair game and nothing is taboo anymore. It is sickening. Give me Charles Chaplin, the Marx Brothers, and Jack Benny...any day over these crass, foul mouthed, non-talented so-called comedians of today.

  • Well (hand on face), Geee! 0:51 Benny with Stan and Ollie- three of the greatest comedians of the last century together. Great stuff. This video is worthy of a violin solo! 5 stars. Whoever rated it less should be taken down to Mr. Benny's vault, and left there.

  • Wow..thank you for the 5 stars and the kind words! I am so glad that you liked the montage...it's nice to be appreciated! NOW CUT THAT OUT...you're making me blush!:)

  • thank you. he is my all-time favorite performer, too, with jerry lewis running a close second.

  • Hello Bigred997, Thanks for the comment...I am glad you liked the montage. Glad to see there are other Benny fans out there...most people today don't seem to know who he is!

    Take care! ~Wendy (BaronVonBlixberg)

  • Awesome, thank you! I've recently become almost obsessed with watching/listening to everything Jack Benny. I love YouTube! Even my 20 and 24 year old sons are getting acquainted with him and are enjoying his humor...it's timeless it seems...thanks again!

  • What great photographs. I was in Waukegan, IL last year, his birthplace, and enjoyed seeing the bronze statue of him in a downtown park. What a comic genius. Johnny Carson and Kelsey Grammer are both great fans and you can see Jack Benny in their personas. Thanks for assembling the video. It's great!

  • Nicely done. I too am a big Benny fan and very much appreciate the effort.

  • You've cheered me up! Thanks... and the best of luck seeking the good in life.

  • @philomorphologian - Right you are. So many of today's comedians, talented as they are, seem to feel they MUST use profanity and "bodily functions" material to get laughs. Jack Benny and his ilk NEVER felt a need to sink that low in radio, TV, or film. I'm so glad a lot of these shows are, at least available for home viewing so I'm not stuck exclusively with what's being produced right now. Best Wishes and let's all BE 39 FOREVER IN SPIRIT!

  • the world that created the industry that helped great artists like Jack Benny to appear before us, should immediately consolidate all resources to save all the decaying material. I do not want Jack Benny and his ilk to become just memories. I want them to live on because these artists were the real thing; hard working, talented and supportive of their fellow artists. they gave us the warm side of the entertainment industry; without which it would perish. So much is lost. Let us save the rest.

  • Liked your video. I discovered Jack for the same reason as many others I wanted something clean to listen to. Love some of those photo's you have in there. I fell in love with him for his great heart and personal charm. It's rare to find even in his day. Especially for a comedian.

  • Fantastic tribute Baron and you are absolutely right. Is that him with Carole Lombard in To Be or Not To Be!!! I love that movie!

  • i live in the past too stuff today makes me sick 1980 on back
