I grew up with Hangman's Beautiful Daughter, Big Huge and Wee Tam. I don't know this album; it is new to me. What a treasure. another amazing ISB lp. thank you for posting.

Why is it that I can still feel the same emotions now as then when I hear this? But cant remember the4 details......could it have been the drugs?

Malc often gets panned for his lyrics being "descriptive, pointless fluff"- the way I see it, his lyrics don't explicitly tell you what to think at the end, true, but they paint such beautiful pictures for you to put your own thoughts in. I'm more than cool with that. Just love this song. Such a gorgeous painting of times past.

I'm only recently getting into listening to the string band now. Mostly because i know malcolm, and having heard him play the guitar and perform so often i've decided to check out what he was doing back in those days..... and it's interesting because he writes now still as he did back then...
