I also do this In SoCal and to test how well made and real our gear is we go to school and collages to show how fights really happened, and I hope you know how much endurance it take to even where armor and we even let "tough guys" hit us dead in the chest with what ever weapon they like and then laugh when we feel nothing

I watched those videos of HMC, and I can only say that this is really great fighting. Combining middle aged armory with todays martial arts!

who cares what type of fighting it is. it looks awsome. much more entertaining than some of the other metal weapon fights i've been in.

yes it is full contact. do you not have eyes? and yes there is technique to live steel fighting....in which i believe is one of the best in any sort of swordplay. "try to fight in which way does not harm armor of opponent?""!!

^ are you kidding me, ive seen swords break, armor crack, people being knocked unconscious, maces snap, shoulders been dislocated. etc. equipment breaks all the time. i suggest you actually witness a live steel battle before assuming that everytng is staged

This is not seriouse fighting. They try to fight with weapons in a way which does not harm armour of the opponent... Not full contact weapon fighting, but a good boxing)) Looks like just for fun.
