It's "Tossmas" time again. In his Stoplight® video commentary, Stuart Shepard politely asks retailers to please at least acknowledge the name of the holiday that falls on Dec. 25. Otherwise, their catalogs may meet an unfortunate end.

  • @smithy4067 Christmas is just a name. The holiday is NOT christian. It's pre-christian. The traditions we observe are nearly 2000 years old and Norse and Celtic in origin (they didn't convert till around 900AD or so).

The name was changed, it was shortened to just 1 day, and a few things (like animal sacrifice) were done away with, but beyond that, it's the same holiday as always, just with a manger story tacked on top.

  • I'm an atheist and I only have one thing to say:

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  • Yes, but Christmas is the main holiday. Most stores don't close on the others.

  • Question: What holiday has the most money spent on it?

  • But by including everyone, are they really acknowledging anyone?

  • Everywhere we go we wish everyone a "Merry Christmas"... We have gotten bright smiles and a "Merry Christmas" in return!

  • a teacher told me

when you go to walmart or target and when you're going to buy something

    if they say

    "Happy Holidays!!" you say

"Oh, I was just going to buy this but since you say Happy Holidays then I guess I can't! Merry Tossmas!!"

    xD

  • Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, and Happy Kwanzaa!
