Ïf you do the run without recording you'll get much higher results. I get 11.50+ on my system right now @ 4.62GHz :D

I had my i5 2500k ocd to 5.0ghz and got 7.95 score. 7.55 @4.7ghz and 7.05 @4.4. But i'm running an Asus p8p67 pro mobo with latest bios. Your score is also dependent on the "Silicon lottery". You might get a good chip that oc's better than your friends. But either way for $220 this cpu is a monster.

What guide/program did you use to OC your CPU? I hear TouchBios it's pretty good, what do you think?

@pingon55555 it took me 2 weeks to get the settings right for my motherboard and cpu for it to be stable (no blue screens etc) and was very much a trial and error thing.
I only tried the easytune auto OC software once and it blue screened my pc at 3.8ghz so i just learnt how to do it myself.
the problem is what settings work for one person may well not work for someone else so the only help i can give is if you find an overclocking forum for your motherboard and cpu and ask for help.

@leezaal
Meh, I thought I could OC my PC in one day without much tweaking :(

@pingon55555 you might have better luck than i did with one of the auto software OC programs.
Just saying that my P67 motherboard and bios were a bit shaky so i ended up having to do it manually.
Hopefully you will fair better with a software solution, cant hurt it try it i guess
