Yeah thanks for that, when the first one of the flats in Germiston came down I watched it from my flat in Red Road (I grew up in the Red Road and moved out about 7 years ago). Im looking forward to the day when the Red Road flats come down. Having said that, I had a great childhood growing up there.

The early years were good before the damp and the heating broke. Everyone moved away who could afford to. There were some happy times at forge place despite what people might think but I am glad they have demolished it. It's not good for people to live in these places. You deserve better.

Thanks for this....i grew up in Forge Place. I'm not sad to see it go but sad that people had to live in such poor housing.
