  • Hey man, dont listen to all this criticism. You already know what notes you missed-so you dont really need anyone to tell you about that. You play beautifully, keep at it and you will succeed.

  • Rachmaninov's music is my soul. But the way you play - I only hear notes, but where are the rich emotions, deep feelings that Rach has? Honestly, its dreadful to listen to emotionless playing.

  • great work

  • Interesting to note, I liked the wrong notes. It was brimming with confidence like Horowitz. Chopin Etude No. 1 wasn't bad at all, did you know Richter himself made wrong notes? Even a master like Anton Rubinstein would make wrong notes. I'm not advocating wrong notes, but they sure sounded better with confidence. The parts I didn't like were the parts played right that didn't sing that he did play correctly.

  • @MengLee2008 I disagree that it is emotionless. In fact, perhaps it is poor interpretive analysis. You ever listen to yourself play or worked on such pieces? Sometimes we're unaware of how we truly sound until we record ourselves.

The largest mistake I see and perhaps why he was disqualified were the last two preludes. Especially the last one, it was much too slow and slower than No. 5. Since Op. 23 is a set, he should have considered it all in context together.

  • @e57uard0 Ok if you listen to another recording of the rach you will hear, kissin does a perfect rendition of it,it's extremely hard! i play the chopin etude but sometimes my fingers 'run away' with me and i make mistakes

  • @afertyus1000 Ummmm well.. im not sure because I don't know well the rach etude. I said that of the Chopin etude because I've studied it a lot and a know exactly what notes he missed. Yeah, the solution is hard work!

  • @e57uard0 i'd say the rach etude was more wrong notes he slid off a few chopin notes and wasnt clean, hard work though

  • im not gonna bore anyone with a ridiculously long comment but... great job and keep it up

  • I like you interpretation of the pieces, very good, I like the Chopin etude, ( is the only one I've studied from the pieces you played). But lets face it, the notes are really important and more in a competition. And there were too many wrong notes in the etude, Im not saying you play bad, I really liked it but you should really pay attention to the notes next time. Great job!

  • I like how you build up the dynamics in the Chopin, very expressive. To bad the judges would not let pass all this inaccuracy. But you deserve a great career. Hope the best to you.

  • I can't see the hands but I presume they are certainly adept to move better with a lower seating position,, hands too high above the keyboard, a very good piainist by the way who i am certain played below at his best but will go a long way,,that C major study is a risk as if your not 'on form' it gets jerly but a very good overall performance and the Rachmaninoff was surperb ,,, well done
