Haunted Mansion - Statue Garden Details

This is some footage focusing on the fun little details in what I call the "Statue Garden," which is actually the now-unused FastPass area for Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. I find it kind of unfortunate that this area goes unnoticed now. At least its a good place to escape to when the crowds get bad, and its really neat to be in there when night starts to fall (I took this video around dusk).

Some of the footage came up choppy, which happened when I converted the files from my camera. I couldn't figure out how to fix that, so I apologize for some spaces where its like that.

I'd prefer if they just left it alone, and didn't ruin a perfectly great attraction. But, that's really a discussion for a different time and place. :)

As do I. I always miss the normal mansion when its gone Holiday. It's an OK change for awhile, but I still prefer the original ride rather than the Holiday version

I wasn't there when the Scarols were playing, but I think the music box piece is annoying, and it just doesn't fit our HM. But, I'm partial to the paranormal Haunted Mansion, over the cheap Haunted Mansion Holiday, anyways. :/

Good ear! Actually, the music box that plays in the garden and over the Haunted Mansion Holiday queue is originally from Phantom Manor in Disneyland Paris. You can hear it coming from an old gazebo on the grounds. I'm glad they started using it at Disneyland during HMH, instead of those obnoxious Scarols.

It's still used during Haunted Mansion Holiday to distribute Fastpasses. The rest of the year, it is unused, as far as I know. But, the HMH music still plays year round in the Fastpass area, as you can hear before the classical rendition of Grim Ginning Ghosts starts playing (:28-:48).
