Fantastic! Did you draw this on some kind of computer drawing pad? You seem to be able to use white to take back the black very freely... I'd love to be able to draw like this!It's like scratchback, but have total freedom...

Does it just come into your mind or do you have to think about what you want to draw for a while? That is increadible!

Good question Catterpillarhero and thank you for the comment. To answer your question: Usually the concept comes to me after working on a composition that interests me. The shapes begin to dictate their own choices to me. Commercial illustration doesn't allow for that luxury (since there's a predetermined destination point for the image), but in my personal work I depend on the ability to surprise myself to keep the work feeling fresh.

So very cool -- I just love how you went about making those wings. You make it look all so effortless. How long did it actually take for you to finish that?

The music is "Adam" on Meshell Ndegeocello's CD "Bitter". Long time favorite mood music to work to.
