289ft Disc Golf ACE Judd RedRidge Park Las Vegas May 2010.avi

My first disc golf ACE (been playing since Nov, 09) from 289 ft, hole #1 at a Tuesday Red Ridge Doubles Tourney and my Buddy Kelly was their to capture on vid. Tom "TR" Robinson from Baskethead witnessed and signed the 175g midrange Discraft HAWK "Congrats on an Old School Beach Ace". I like that you can hear the snap on the release (19secs) and then watch it hyzer to center chains. Bonus: I was the "Cali" so the entire $165 Ace pot was pocketed. I promptly bought more discs. :)

Thanks Jack, super fortunate to get my first ACE on video and pocket $165 from ace pool against many far superier players. I played Pier Park in Portland last time I was in Or and definately got a taste of a wooded course. My disc sounded like wood peckers on many a hole. Bring discs to Vegas in March and ITS ON!

Tuesday Doubles usually start 5pm depending on the time of year. 9-hole course, twice though and calm days winning team can be -10 under, but typically 6 to 8 under with doubles is solid. On bad hole can easily be a double boge because of major OB on all par 3's. Goto lvbagtag for details and join the fun.

Red Ridge was a brand new park then and the trees have grown since. But it is a Links-type dedicated DG course with shaped fairways and lots of OB. Some long holes 500+. This basket, Hole #1 is only 289ft and straight forward unless windy(often windy). This tourney day had moderate gusts but my hyzer rode the wave beautfully into mid chains. I will never forget the sound! Comes Play Vegas: Sunset, Mtn Crest, RedRidge, Peccole etc and fight windy days. Hooked for life.
