Originally recorded by Allen Asbury. This song is just cool to sing, and the message is exciting to me.

In this house we've built of make-believe
Loved ones go long before seems it's time to leave
But we will learn how to grieve
To forgive and receive
Till we see them there in that city

Span of stars overhead as we walk this road
While this darkness remains I will bear your load
And together we will tend the seed He's sown
As we walk 'long the road to that city

On that day we will sing Holy Holy
On that day we'll bow down in the Light
And then we'll rise and turn our eyes
To the one who's the light
The light of that city

Though my eyes can't see what is waiting there
Though my mind can't conceive
All that He's prepared
There the blind will see the Son
What was old will be young
And the lame
They will run all over the streets to that city

On that day we will sing Holy Holy
On that day we'll bow down in the light
And then we'll rise and turn our eyes
To the Lord Jesus Christ
He's the light of that city

  • Great voice! You are better in your lower and really ranges. Your middl voice is missing that rich vibrato in the lower and higher ranges. However, you CAN sing. Who and where are you and where have you sung?

  • @sekydsined I don't think it's missing because I don't have it, it's missing because I didn't use it. I'm not a great singer, but this isn't one of my better performances. I've sung all over the country, but not under a label, so I'm unknown. Which is fine. I don't sing to be known, I do it because I love it and because I want people to experience joy and healing that my voice, hopefully, is a messenger of. I live in Texas currently.

  • Simply Amazing

  • Thank you!!! :)

  • Wow, you did that amazingly! I haven't seen any of your other videos, but do you record your own songs? Because you ought to.

  • Thanks!!! I wish I could record my own songs, since I've written quite a few. But I don't have the equipment to make tracks, and I'm not a good enough keyboard player to play them live. So I guess I'm kinda stuck doing others' songs for now.

  • Left out the word higher on second lines and misspelled middle on second line?

  • So right about it being fun to sing - it's a joy because of the wonderful truths it foretells.

It's also a very big song with lots of scope. I was stunned at how well you did. Wld. suggest

you try it again with ear phones. You've definately got the range you need and you love the idea it conveys. Practise & get it perfected - just like a pro. Thks. for sharing
