@trumpetchump As was mentioned, the lead guitarist Rip passed away in a car accident. His brother Spanky Twangler then took over the lead duties. Sadly, Spanky has since passed away from cancer.

This is the REAL Penetrators. Not to be confused with the San Diego name copy band.
Havent heard much from this band over the last number of years.They are part of the Southern Surf Syndicate (S3, or S cubed), as in Southeast USA.
The plan i think was to have all of teh Southern Surf Bands, loosely join forces for touring etc. I dont know if it ever got up and going. The are some hard-core surfers in the area who have the Souther Surf Syndicate logo tattoo.

Yes a great band. RIP, the lead guitarist was killed in a car accident a few years back. i think the rest of the band is around but playing with other bands or solo.
