You are not suppose to drink it full strength. You are suppose to use it for seasoning and flavoring foods and it gets diluted. Stupid haoles.

yes health risks indeed...i have hypertension and LOVE thai food...after I eat a thai meal sometimes have palpitations...way way to much salt..these guys are not that smart.a teaspoon fo fish sauce goes a LONG Way.,,,its wonderful stuff,

There are some serious health risks if you chug the whole bottle in one sitting. Way too much salt as a daily intake.
