Out of state animal rights activists say Issue 2 is about big ag and not family farms. With nearly 60,000 family farmers in its membership, Ohio Farm Bureau knows this isnt true. Issue 2 creates the Livestock Care Standards Board, which is specifically charged with setting animal care standards that promote local food production and that protect Ohio families and farms. The board will carry out its charge under the authority of the Ohio legislature adding another layer of protection for all Ohioans.

In this video, meet some of the multigenerational family farmers who say Issue 2 will help them continue to provide safe, local food for Ohio while giving excellent care to their animals.

  • that says it all: you work for the farm buro

BY THE WAY: THE RESSOURCES TO PRODUCE 1 STEAK could Feed s CHILD for 8 DAYS!!!!!!!!

80% of the whole Worlds agriculturally usable Land are not used to grow Grains and Fruits and Legumes and Veggies for the Peole, no they are being used to Grow the Crops to Feed the Animals which are being used for Meat Consumption-the Animals of the Rich hereby eat the Food of the Poor!

  • The way it works is, every farmer gets one vote.... WELL, how about the pigs vote.... has anyone considered they have a vote? Although they can't speak, we should be speaking for them. Let's shove you in a crate for the rest of your days. You people are all about profit, you don't care otherwise who lives or dies. HOW DARE YOU... think you are above all life and can dictate these matters. Follow the money and you will find the reason behind all of your statements!

  • I agree...the USDA definition of "Organic" is a joke

  • Wouldn't help them out USgov?...that's pretty sad ...because we would still help you....You are even more primitive than I thought.

BTW, I'm not surprised you did not see any literature...the no side was only willing to put so much money into an almost guaranteed loss. The ad (I mean the wording on the ballot) was pretty persuasive to the uninformed. Round 1 is over....no big deal..see you at another time.

  • Absolutely right, animalliberation0961. These industry flacks and animal abusers can tell their grandchildren someday that they did their utmost to make the world an uglier place, or they can LIE, as usual.

Vegan for life, for the animals, the planet, and for health! BOYCOTT ALL ANIMAL EXPLOITATION AND ABUSE.

  • . Look at the "allowed" list of organic substances. They are allowed to use "ivermectin" when organic system does not prevent infestation. They are allowed to use "Oxytocin" when animals don;t let down their milk. They are allowed to use ethelyn for postharvest rippening of fruit. All these are man made synthetic chemicals. The same stuff large farms use. Only difference is, the public doesn't know this due to false advertising and charge the poor consumer 4 times as much.

  • Where did you drop your leaflets cause uh, i never seen em anywhere?

  • OHIO VOTERS ROCK. Hoorah for famers!! No matter how you look at it, famers are the heart and sole of America. We were all farmers i the beginning. Meat eating people. But I must say, the next time a vegan drives off the side of our road or into the snow, we may not be so quick to help them out.

  • The Ohio Farmers WON. Now, the nut cases from PETA, the HSUS and ALF will have a harder time trying to wreck the Ohio economy, with the AGENDA of making everyone veggie.

  • The BRUTES won.

    The world gets uglier.

  • For those who don't know, the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) is those law breakers who fire bomb testing labs, and grafitti ALF everywhere. As I said before, CONSIDER THE SOURCE...

  • Nice strawman... Most people eat meat.
