SEA BRIGHT PRESS CONFERENCE
December 14, 2012 (Transcript Below)

Governor Christie: Thank you. Well, good afternoon, and before we start for our intended purpose here, obviously the people of the state of Connecticut have endured today just an unspeakable tragedy. The shooting in a school, eighteen children were murdered, and nine other individuals were killed as well. Our hearts and prayers go out to Governor Malloy, and to the families of each of those victims. Ten days before Christmas, it's unthinkable that you send your children to school and they're in harm's way. And so I want the folks of Connecticut to know that all the folks here in New Jersey are with them tonight, with those family members, and the power of our prayers will hopefully be able to, in some extraordinarily small way, help to bind up the wounds of the people who are suffering, and suffering greatly this afternoon.
