Ive got the Intel core2duo E8400.....After using quads and looking at other processors ,even now after 2 years with the O/C potential ,my E8400 is still the best affordable chip around .I will still be running this chip in another 2 years .Trust me ,most software doesnt use much of quad core potential so having the best dual core about is a big plus .It can run a/thing you throw at it .As long as you have enough RAM.

@vmn1451 haha saying intel sucks is like saying mcdonalds sucks. people will always hate on it and go for the "amd" restaurants because mcdonalds/intel is a bandwagon but the reason it became a bandwagon is because it is high quality and delicious. intel is a quality top performer but because most smart people choose it, it makes other smart people think its over hyped and eventually it "sucks"

@vmn1451 Please do explain in great detail what makes AMD or heaven forbid VIA better.

I'm going to be building one with a AMD (???) processor, a Gigibyte mobo with 3 gb. of ddr2 800 memory in my currant pc. I already have win-7 and a 500 WD hd and a CoolerMaster Elite case to put it in. Sounds good?
