  • and the most important question, explain why roses in someones back yard- or in the wild, grow very good on their own, when no one waters them, but they live in a climate like southern California where there is not much rain in spring and summer, when roses do not like droughts and like lots of water. also-roses do not like sitting water, like water sitting in a saucer at the bottom of a container in container grows. a naive person could buy synthetic fertz and actually do harm to wild roses

  • explain why professional growers use "black" pots all the time- instead of colord pots with decorations like home growers. explain why miracle grow and synthetic chemicals are not a good idea vs. organic soil/compost and organic fertilizers that are 100% organic/natural. explain the importance of microorganism and sub culture in the medium like bacteria and nitrification. what type of organic fertilizer are best to use and why? how often to water plants in the ground?

  • what type of soil is best for plants? soiless mix or soil? organic or synthetic like miracle grow? compost? how to compost? mulch? why is mulch important? mulch helps retain water in the medium so you can less often, it keeps the soil temperature cooler at 65-75 F degrees which is ideal. it helps prevent weeds from growing that compete for water and nutrient resource with the rose, and it helps keep the roots and microorganism in a dark environment. what about using trace elements like azomite?

  • you didnt say anything about the time of year to transplant, or pruning, how to prune, when to prune. your suppose to prune in feburaury-march. pruen by cutting above a stem with a bud with 5 leaves. you didnt say what environment roses grow best at. is it a annual plant. a perennial plant? it is a perennial plant. a rose does not grow from seed like an annual plant, it re grows from its root mass after the cold winter. what are the main causes of death for roses, what type of soil to use?

  • not helpful. it was all common sence. I need real information. like- is chlorine in tap water ok to use or do i need to use reverse osmosis water. if chlorine is ok, what about using tap water that has chlorine in it with benifical bacteria and endo and ecto mychroizal fungi? what about using lady bugs for natural pest control. you did not mention that aphids are one of the roses major pesp problems. also i heard roses only need 4-6 hours of direct sunlight, it doesnt need 16 hours of light

  • hey,,,,thanx a lot..I appretiate it.
