  • Nice video. My girl friend and I are considering our hand at making home made sausages like you guys. I was wondering insteading of using pork, do you know of any chicken sausage recipes?

  • @jcfreeman31 Glad you liked the video! Since it sounds like this is your first sausage making experience, heres a nice basic recipe from TheSpiceySausage: 10-lbs ground chicken, 1-tbsp freshly ground black pepper, 1-tbsp red pepper flakes, 1-tbsp dried sage, 1-tbsp dried thyme, 1-tbs ground allspice, 2tbsp salt. Let me know how it turns out :-)

  • real nice.. thats definitely a two person job. How much did both attachments (grinder and casing unit) cost you?

  • @AlcoholLevel You can get the meat grinder attachment for around $50, and then the sausage stuffer should be $10-$15. Amazon.com carries these attachments, as well as sausage recipe books and other useful accessories!
