@TheHossUSMC The N95 is a common type of face mask that can filter small particulates. It is not 100% effective at filtering really small particles (like viruses), but many times the viruses are in bits of spit and mucus, and the mask does fine with that. I like the form fitting ones and not the surgical mask types.

Doc, what are your thoughts on anti virals? Tami flu etc.

@cke5 I would definitely take them if I were sick or in close contact with someone who was sick, but they are not 100% effective.

Do you suggest vaccinating children. Not the flu shot, or annual vaccinations but those shots required to attend a public school? I do not vaccinate and was curious what your thoughts were? Thank you. Btw I have no faith in the CDC or WHO.

@BendoverBernanke I do vaccinate myself and my kids. I think the risk benefit ratio for several of the diseases is favorable. The death rates from rubella, etc. have fallen considerably.

@TheHossUSMC ...I travel the world teaching on the topic of PANDEMIC.After over ten years and 20,000 hours of study,I feel I have a strong grip on the basic issues involved on all levels.First,great basic video.I applaude U.I have two vids here covering the impact globally,scientifically,spirit­ually,and practically.The science as of 1/21/12 is that an H5N1 strain has emerged with a fair level of transmissibility in ferrets.NOT GOOD !!! Ferrets mimic our immunity.DARE 2 PREPARE 4 THREE MONTHS...!

@BendoverBernanke Vaccinations are not required to attend public school. Talk with your doctor. You can get him/her to sign off. This is what we do for our children.
