Steve Bonafel performs his original song, "Easy Come, Not So Easy Go", with his band One Iota. Recorded at the Clifton Opera House in Clifton, Ohio on July 23, 2011. One Iota is Steve Bonafel on guitar and vocals, Bob Bentle on (mostly) fiddle, John Billerman on bass, and (usually) Brad Meinerding on mandolin. Videographers were Ray Ooten, Dan Clemmons, Aaron Moher, Swango and Paul Turner. Produced and edited by Paul Turner. Audio by Aaron Moore and Dan Clemmons. Thanks to Brenda and all the ladies at the Clifton Opera House for the kindness they displayed to my crew and I.

  • Steve should be a country star, he's got that old school country sound, and I love the words to this song, too bad today's country ain't so good, thanks for posting

  • @deborahkauffman09 Steve has written some fine songs but this one is my favorite. They play him locally on public radio and a college station but most local music fans have never heard of him. I am happy and lucky to have been able to record him. Thanks for watching.

  • Very lovely song, pure and simple .... and so true too!

  • @otherkind Beth, Thanks for watching. I've asked Steve who he wrote this song about....he just smiled, skirted the issue and walked away. I guess none of us want to talk about that one heartbreak which was worse than all the others combined. Thanks for watching.

  • This is beautiful

  • @LilyMae08 Steve is a wonderful singer / songwriter but he is a better human being. Just ask anyone who knows him. I appreciate you watching and we appreciate your kind comment. Thank you, Paul

  • Not so many years ago, in the days of Merle and George, and when "country" was really country, you should have had yourself a number one hit with this one, just the way you did it here. My limited vocabulary doesn't allow me the words to give you all the praise you deserve here my friend. ....fantastic lyrics and voice...Best wishes from the hills...*ron...

  • @mountnmonkey Thanks, Ron. I hope all is well with you and the monkeys. Your comment is like checking for the paper and finding a chunk of gold in the driveway. It is much appreciated. Steve is a throw back to a simpler time. He writes beautiful songs which our generation can relate to. Although Steve does a fine job on this song, I would really love to hear George Strait cover it! Ol' Stevie would be over the moon. Thanks again, Paul
