  • Why in the world, for christ's sake, is people discussing lady gaga at a Ligeti's video? WHY?

  • @christopher19894 music is a mirror of society, it's more difficult to listen to ligeti than gaga or bieber, people dont have time to think, to make choices, to pay attention, it's easier to turn on the tv, it's easier to let the others think for you. You wonder what it would take for western culture to popularize music like this? it would take a war, a world war against people in charge, because it's easier for them to rule over narrow minded humans.

  • I wonder what it would take for western culture to popularize music like this. Imagine if kids lined up outside of music halls dying to see a performance of Ligeti, as opposed to Jieber or Laga. Music like Ligeti's encourages introspection, and it allows it's listeners to think about their existence with a new emotional context. I don't get the same effect when I listen to children singing songs written by adults that try to sound like children in love... Baby. Oh.

  • I saw Salonen conduct this. Most amazing experience ever!!!!!

  • What a fun piece of music! I love Ligeti!

  • ¡Impresionante!
