4130 Chromoly swingarm that has sat exposed to the elements for about a year.

Notice the insides of the tubes look worse than the outside. Makes me want to cut open one of the sealed tubes and see how it looks in there. Time capsule or rust pot?

  • @MustangGTR2 yeah, this was in coastal virginia. Nice salty, hot, humid atmosphere. You can rust anything there :)

  • @ej20daZe I just posted this for a friend that was led to believe chromoly tubing wont rust. It {obviously} does.

  • Maybe because humidity is trapped easily inside cavities and surface reaction of oxygen with iron atom creates calamine(rust)_
