I have the smaller DP-008. It's pretty easy to use. 8 tracks 2 at a time. That's before bouncing. I can see how I could need something like the 2488 in a few years.

My girl bought it for me for Christmas last year, still in the box, but still have my two Tascams from ten years, (one4-track, one eight track) I know them like my back of my hand and fingerprints...So, what am I waiting for? I guess I am scared of learning how to fly a 747 aircraft!!!Someone!! Please help me!!!! Have great music from a multi-million studio in Charlottesville Va. (Dave Mathews area, lived right next to him, literally the next farm over. Only seen him in concert 4 times. HELP!!!

@kaybronson100 get one you wont be disapoiinted. it is an all in one unit. there very easy to understand. easy to work. i started with a 488 portastudio in the 90's cut two albums with it. up untill my guitarist death in 2003 when we were working on our third album

I have purchased Tascam 2488 NEO for about two months now and I really liked it very much. It is my first recording with Digital. Here is song I recorded my wife singing Because You Loved Me through my Tascam 2488 NEO by using only internal effects without of help from external effects. My drummer has one. Nowhere in the manual do I see any directions on how to do overdubs. How is overdubbing accomplished?
