  • To quote the recording ledger: HMV Cat B5083, matrix Bb8367 take 3, recorded 19 May 1926 - directed by Ramon Newton, vocal by Ramon Newton. This was recorded at Hayes - the labels state "The Savoy Orpheans at the Savoy Hotel, London", but this was a contractual advertising arrangement - it was not meant to imply that they RECORDED at the Savoy. If they did, the HMV recording van would be needed, and its output had matrices with a "BR" prefix at that date.

  • I love this !

  • Ya, I wasn't sure but now I am!! It's a guitar!! Thx for clarifying!!

  • It's a guitar.

  • I LOVE the vocal with the banjo...and also the spirited horns and interjecting cymbals...why this is so good, I certainly could love it!! 5*

  • Really Nice! Better than the Victor.
