So you can smoke tobacco uncured/fermented? How is that possible, isn't the ammonia still present and toxic even if you're not combusting it?

@Rachelseeme Yes you can, but uncured fresh green tobacco leaves will have more ammonia in it but less TSNAs, but if you use brown dropped leaves rather than fresh green, much of the ammonia will have dispersed. I have never actually found high amonia levels in my plants, possibly because I grow them without any fertilizer?

Thank you for a very professional and top-notch video. I've found the Iolite a difficult filly to master. Your videos have alowed me to finally use the liote properly. I use mine for weed but I would like to try it for tobacco. BTW, how long does a single smoking session last? Having no tastebuds and the absence of smoke, I have trouble distinguishing hot air from my mj vape...

@nlpjohn Depends on the tobacco, dry hand rolling a few minutes, pipe tobacco maybe 5 and tobacco molasses 10-20 mins. For me it depends on where I am and whether I want a quick fix or a nice relaxing vape session. The IO is versatile in that way which suits me very well

I noticed you use rolling tobacco, would you recommend using pipe tobacco for use in the iolite? Why would you pick one over the other? I am finding this seemingly simple question, quiet hard to answer.

@chrispotter13 Pipe tobacco does work great. I simply have been unable to find one with a taste I like. Also it vaporizes more slowly. The more finely shredded RYOT releases nicotine quickly. American Spirit also contains 37% freebase nicotine which is very high meaning it is economical for me to use. I know people who use pipe tobacco in their IO and love it. Andy

Irish-made Iolites are way overpriced. Customer service department sucks. I had mine for less than a week when it stopped working. I've since fixed it, but it's broken again.

BTW: NOTE to Canadians - if you buy one and it breaks, you will have to ship it back to the US. Now think about this - what if US Customs seizes it en-route? I don't care how well you've cleaned it, if used for weed, you may be subject to criminal charges of smuggling and trafficking (it's impossible to get it clean)

Just bought one of these vaporizers for the wife yesterday for her ms but I don't understand the point of it, I don't get anything from it at all, just seem to be wasting nice weed.

dont pull on it when its heating up. otherwise you will inhalating unburned butan. Try it, when the vapo is empty. I promisse youll taste gas! Let him heat up, wait and then inhalate!!

I use power x5.. .and my iolight gets really hot on the outside after fusing the cape for a little bit.. the whole case get uncomfortably hot while in use. Is that normal or is this a problem

@grogbth Is there an add on device or anything where I could fit 10 grams of tobacco in the chamber and use it all day without having to refill? Or is this not how the device works? Also, how much can you fit in it in terms of gram size? Thanks very much
