very nice

sounds awesome! Dannos are great for slide and a serriously underrated guitar all-round.

I'm not a jazz player, however the guitar in general is pretty bright - hardly a traditional kind of jazz sound. You might be able to dial in something that works for you though.
-
Not a baritone - it's a regular guitar.

Well the Vox has an AC15 and AC30 setting - the XD has nothing that is even close to that. As far as the Marshall tone goes, both do a pretty good job with overdriven sounds.

I'm thinking of a Dano 63, Would you recommend one?

@stenchouse Yes, I have both a '63 and '56.

You should use a heavy brass slide. They are hard to find. Most music stores have these thin brass slides. But to get that heavy slide tone you gottah use brass. Glass slides just sound too thin. Thick glass or some of the new ceramic slides might be good.

@BoyCary I have glass, brass and chrome slides. I rarely use the chrome. The glass and brass sound the best to my ears.
