1989 sperchargered corvette. WHen I got the car, it was pretty much stock except for a mild cam.
I Installed superram intake, 42lbs green tops, supercharger, headers, wb02, syty ecm, high flow fuel pump, and alcohol injection. Supercharger is a paxton VR4 running its own coolant loop (large tranny cooler, circulartory pump, magnetic filter and automatic fan. Good for about 14 psi with 1400 cfm.
Custom stainless steel tank made to fit cavity of rear facia. Holds 6-7 gallons of 50/50 alky/h2o.
Car was converted to the Syclone/typhoon ecm ( speed density 1227749). Running code 59 (code59.org). Code 59 is pretty much totally custom stuff, go check it out!
Since going to the 749 and code 59, this car is a real treat to drive. It won't snap your head but is very drivable with gobs and gobs of torque. I can truck arount in 6th at about 35 miles per hour with instant accelaration. Absolutly no issues with detonation. Car runs perfect all the way up to 5500 rpm.
The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner and has about 20k since. Only bad part is he built it higher compession with flat tops so im treading in dangerous waters. I dont want any "KABOOMS". We will see. IF it goes, it will force me to build a 383 low compression motor, damn!

Why would you do that to a 89! The 89 was nicer than the 91!

that thing sounds like a pulp wood truck. put some 50 series 3 chamber flow masters on it and be somebody. I have an 89 coupe with a 385hp ZZ4 vortec and TPIs miniram, LT4 hot cam, 1.6 roller rockers, crane valve springs, 24lb injectors, 55lbs fuel pressure, kenne-bell computer. On the motor I run a consistent 11.40s in the sun. On juice 10.80s np with a 150 hp power shot. With Hoosier quick times and a 39 gas 34 nitrous jets I've hit 10.50s at night.
