Lesson 29 - God is in everything I see.

Keys to this Lesson

We are learning today why we can see purpose in everything.
It also explains where there is no separation.
It explains why nothing we see means anything.
It brings all the lessons so far into focus.
Today's idea is the basis of true vision.

Jesus tells us that we may not grasp this idea today.
We may find it silly, irreverent, senseless, funny, perhaps even objectionable.
Certainly God is not in a table as you see it.
In yesterday's lesson though it was emphasized that a table shares the purpose of the universe.
What shares the purpose of the universe shares the purpose of its Creator.

Jesus asks us that today we step back a little and look upon all things with love, appreciation and most importantly, open-mindness.
Nothing is as it appears to us.
We cannot see the holy purpose beyond our small scope.
He also tells us that when vision has shown us the holiness that lights up the world, then we will understand what we mean when we say:
God is in everything I see.


Exercise

6, 2 minute practice periods.
Repeat the idea to yourself.
Apply to random subjects, naming it specifically.
Don't choose the object yourself.
Allow it to be chosen as you place your eyes upon it.

God is in everything I see.
Examples:
God is in this coat hanger.
God is in this magazine.
God is in this finger.
God is in this lamp.
God is in that body.
God is in that door.
God is in that waste basket.

Additionally, repeat the idea once an hour.
Look slowly about you as you say the words slowly.
Jesus tells us that at least once or twice that we should experience a sense of restfulness.
