Actually it was JD who taught MJ the moonwalk and a lot of his other moves. He was his dance coach !

Seriously, ti's not taking away anything from MJ to say that he was not the originator of many of his moves. I am a teensy troubled because I remember a claim attributed to Michael that he never had a dance lesson; perhaps he meant he never took dance classes.

Shakespeare is considered the best playwright ever. Truthfully, I doubt that Shakespeare ever created an original play. They were adapted from other works of art.

Some of MJ's moves may be borrowed, but he made them shine.

MJ asked Daniel to teach him how to do the moonwalk. You don't become the best by making every single thing you do unique. You perfect the best moves. And it worked well, as the majority of the world believes he created the moonwalk.
