is a 250 four stroke a good starter dirt bike?

It is, but if you want to get good, buy a two stroke, they actually take skill to ride.

For the odd couple who have never heard of Husaberg, they were Swedish manufactured and pretty good. So good in fact that Austrian rival KTM bought them out and started building them in the KTM factory in Austria. Top quality parts used, Magura, Ohlins, Brembo, to name but a few. In my view Berg are much better quality machines than Japanese bikes. Not knocking Japanese bikes in any way, reliable etc but quality wise I don't believe they are as good as Berg or KTM.

the yz is an incredible piece of engineering, i doubt YOU have ever ridden one and the fact that you have never heard of a husaberg doesnt mean its bad, they are both fantastic bikes, your opinion is based on moronic thoughts, not the fact that you have ever ridden one and disliked it.

Yeah, I agree, the Husaberg FE 390 is pretty unstable on long straights, this happens because the front end is actually heavier than the rear end. I am 14 years old and I ride a Yamaha WR426F. After riding the 2010 Husaberg FE 390, I believe this bike should be used for enduro riding only. Overall this is a great bike and it deserves more attention. BTW nice wheelies!
