How does the fact that we're trillions in debt make cutting costs a bad idea? The private market has failed to make health insurance affordable, and public markets demonstrably have succeeded all around the world. The burden of proof is on you to explain why its not a good idea, other than making up bullshit like death panels. The private health insurance market has been the mother of all death panels.

Paul Ryan is either one of the most dishonest politicians of all time or one of the stupidest politicians of all time; my experience tells me its the former.

And investors continue to have such amazingly high confidence in our ability to repay our debts that they are accepting short-term bond yields considerably under inflation. Rational people actually want to pay the government to keep their money safe. Isn't that the perfect time to worry more about long-term prosperity than how much we're borrowing?

If we're really having a debt crisis, why is investor confidence so high?

Per capita costs for health care in the US is over twice as much as in industrilized countries who have universal health care programs where everyone is covered while 50 million in the US have no coverage. AHA takes direct aim at this disparity. What´s so bad about that?

Perhaps the biggest roadblock to implementation of single payer health care system is the for-profit insurance industry and its lobby. After all, who stands to lose the most with a health care system designed to take care of individuals rather than line the pockets of executives and shareholder. The United States remains the only industrialized nation in the world with a for-profit health care system.

Every word Romney utters is a lie including ‘and’ and ‘the’.

    ----------

The problem is not that Mitt Romney has no plan, its that many Americans are dumb enough to believe that Romney is some financial wizard who has some magic formula to give America 12 million jobs, reduce the deficit from 1 trillion to zero dollars without spending any money, raising taxes, or cutting the military budget.
