@fishyfinatic thanx for your help, the cories at my local fish store where babys and realy small so I was woried that her betta might thump on them, she had a african dwarf frog before that the betta didnt mind so I got her 2 frogs, I felt it was kinda 50/50 on rather or not her betta would attack the lil baby albino cories so I played it safe and got her the frogs. ty for your help

@whiteboypatrickkelly you can get panda cories, or another small cory and you could put 2 or 3 of them in the 2.5 with the betta, this is only if you are willing to do just a bit of extra cleaning to keep it up for your mom...it would make the cories happier and live longer and im sure your mom would love to see the lil things swimming around in a lil group :)

@whiteboypatrickkelly sorry it took so long for me to reply, i didn't see the comment. mine did ok for a while but then i did move them to a bigger tank after a while..but I think as far as your particular situation goes you would be fine to get her a cory cat and put it in the 2.5 with the betta, IF YOU are the one taking care of the tank and you are willing to do it you could look for a small type cory cat in your area.

I need some help, my moms got a 2.5 gallon with a betta she wants me to get her a lil cory, but I know there supost to be in groups and she would need a bigger tank but she is stubborn and shes also dieing so Im gona just give her her way, I would get a bigger tank but shes living at my grandmothers who wont let me, so my ? is this can a small cory and a betta fit in a 2.5gal and not get all stressed out and die? I want to make my mom happy but not make the fish miserable, did yours do ok?

@rainypassion101 you COULD, but as i told another person on here, the cory would do alot better in groups, and if you are willing to do the water changes, you would be better off getting 2 or 3, even 4, of a small type of cory. but with a 2.5 i would probably stick with 2 or 3...if you had a 5 gal you could go with 4. it would HAVE TO be a small type cory like a pygmy or a panda
