  • Kuts:

Do you have a question that I can help you with?

  • With Charlie Vernon back there on bass trombone, if i'm not mistaken. What an all-star ensemble this is!

  • Yes, that is Charlie, great player

  • Amazing job. Who knows, some day people might actually know what the euphonium actually is!!!

  • The "black man" is Demondre Thurman who is as proficient on trombone as he is on euphonium and teaches at u of Alabama. He's as high quality a person as his playing and I am honored to have him as a friend.

  • Whos the black guy? I want to look him up.

  • Doesn't look like Fritz is playing in this concert, but I see Marty and Phil. Those two plus Matt Tropman mean that I've had lessons with 3 of the players in this recording.

At 2:33 you can see Matt attempt to secure his second valve. I had to chuckle at that.

    Amazing arrangement, amazing virtuosity.

  • any idea if the music is for sale?

  • @darmass71 in other vids, demondrae and gail both double on baritone horn

  • surprised no baritones in the baritone section just more euphs

  • Maybe the arrangement for the ensemble is by Gail Robertson but the arrangement for the solo instruments is by the GREAT trumpeter Thomas Stevens (originally written for 4 trumpets).

  • WOW, fantastic ending Gail!

  • :0 WHERE HAS THIS VIDEO BEEN ALL OF MY LIFE!!!!

  • @euphfellowship I hear you - Childs is a beast. For me, it's like: On this 'elite' level of euphonium artistry, everyone (for the most part) has monsterous technique, so I realy like when the 'sound' of the person separates them from the pack. (That is why you can almost readily recognize Childs, Berhend, Bowman, Mead, Frey and many others...) But to me, Demondrae's "SOUND" is so unique, rich & flavorful - no one else sounds like him!
