The Boudha Bhikkus are actually from Nepal. Here they have an alms-seeking parade at the Kalachakra ceremony, January 2006.

  • its really great to see this kind of things at India because IND is the Buddha's country..

  • video is like that after you view? over here it is the rage

  • Excellent, their most welcome in India by most Indians. Muslims will be offended but then again they always are the Porkistanis, expel all Muslims from India, why it wasn't done in 1947 I don't know.

  • @sirensongsindia I`m awere of newah tradition of bajracharyas. But when i'm talking about theravada, you might know that theravada is more similar to ancient primitive buddhism, that in pratical ways both mahayana and vajrayana are very distant. So maybe ancient buddhism is being revived. remember that the whole clan of shakyas were converted early in buddhas's time!

  • @xthia25 Buddhism has always been in Nepal, in the form of Mahayana and Vajrayana. Newar Buddhists, Sherpas, Tamangs, Gurungs, Magars and now Tibetans have been Buddhist for over 1000 years. Theravada Buddhism in Nepal is not being 'revived,' it has been imported from Thailand, Burma etc. in the 1930s.

  • @sirensongsindia Maybe! I know that buddhism in nepal is being revived. Although its never ever died there! Even in india buddhism lasted, hidden maybe, but surveved!

  • @xthia25 ...I believe they are from Nepal, but wear Burmese dress because they are Theravadins and were trained by Burmese.
