The Triangle 9

As the doctor said the words she didnt make it, my heart shattered. A million pieces flew across the world. It would take years to find them all; years to fix my broken heart.

Everyone was crying. Tears flooded my eyes. It was blurry; too blurry to see where I was going.

Where was I going?

The old tree house.

That was where Jen, David, and I used to spend Friday nights. Where we used to have sleepovers and parties. Where we went when everything was crashing down around us. Our lala land escape.

As I reached the main lobby, I felt someones arms wrap around me. Selly. The person whispered.

I could recognize that voice anywhere. David, I cant go back there. I cried. Its too hard! he turned me around and squeezed me. We stood there, holding each other, crying for a moment before going back to Jens room.

Two days later, dressed in black, Zac and I went to Jens funeral. It was long and depressing. Mr. and Mrs. Stone, David, and I each said a few words before she was buried. We put white roses on top of her gravestone; they were her favorite. In her coffin, there were pictures of all three of us, some of her family, and some of our favorite band; Connect Three, from when we met them backstage at their concert in Dallas.

We stayed in Texas for two weeks before Mom called. She said that were missing too much school. Zac told me. Actually, she screamed. Zac laughed, and for the first time since I left Mileys, I smiled.

Nicks POV:

I watched as she paced around the room. Two weeks. She muttered. For the past two weeks, shes been worried about Selena. Sel told me shed call Miley.

Great! Miley probably thinks Im a liar. Now Ill never have a chance with her.

I'm standing out in the rain, I need to know if it's over. Cause I will leave you alone She jumped up and answered her phone, right before my favorite part of the ringtone.

Hello? Sel! Why havent you called me?

I feel so left out, I pouted.

Too bad. She said. She stuck out her tongue and continued talking with Selena. Than her face went white as a ghost.

Mileys POV:

Ive been pacing around Nicks room everyday after school since she left. She told Nick shed call me. Maybe Nicks lying?

No! Nick wouldnt do that. Hes too honest. He even admitted to our teacher that he wasnt paying attention cause he was thinking about a girl.

What if that girl is Selena? I sighed. Ive liked Nick since 6th grade. I hope she doesnt ruin my chance with him.
