I speak to Peggy-Jane Rogers, who teaches together with Jason Chan for the Light Foundation. Together, they run workshops and courses on Jason's style of Tai Chi: "Infinite Tai Chi", in the UK and all over Europe.
10 Peggy's journey so far
10 Peggy discovers Meditation
40 Peggy gets a suggestion to take up either Tai Chi or Yoga - leading her to meet Jason Chan
18 Peggy's spiritual awakening during her retreat with Jason Chan
05 How do we deal with a spiritual crisis / spiritual emergency?
15 Qigong, the Body and ACIM: How does it all fit in?
17 "Whilst we've got a body, it's our responsibility to look after it, without being too obsessed with it."
00 *The Course says this, not Wapnick's words necessarily* "it is almost impossible to deny its [the body's] existence in this world. Those who do so are engaging in a particularly unworthy from of denial" (T-2.IV.3:10 -11)
10 The body as a tool
00 Peggy's eclectic experience with different spiritual paths and teachings
00 "Who cares whether it's ACIM, or Buddhism, or Hinduism? It's all the same thing. Love is Love, Fear is Fear."
"The Course seems so complicated, but it's so simple. We've just got a simple choice: Love or Fear. And all the great teachings are teaching us to move from Fear to Love in their own way."
23 I ask Peggy about being an intellectual: what has been her journey with her intellect and how does it relate to A Course in Miracles?
30 Peggy talks about being skeptical and discernment vis-a-vis having an academic background
28 How does she evaluate spiritual teachers?
00 What is a 'heightened / altered state of awareness'?
30 The intellect and heart: was the intellect ever a sticking point in her spiritual development?
39 "I sometimes read tea leaves, don't tell anybody" :)
14 I talk about my over-searching / over-analysing / intellectualising / reading too many books
05 What is Peggy's daily spiritual practice?
30 Not compartmentalising what is 'spiritual'
05 "There's no such thing as spiritual people or non-spiritual people"
"I often tell myself, if I see a drunk on the street - that for all I know - they're someone who completely cracked enlightenment the last lifetime, they've chosen to come back as a drunk on the street to teach someone else a beautiful spiritual lesson. How am I to think I'm more spiritual just because I'm reading A Course in Miracles?"
45 I talk about how my judgement kicks in at ACIM conferences. :)
00 Wrap up - what's next for Peggy? Peggy talks about her new book with Jason Chan: Infinite Abundance
20 "Go for the burn!"
Peggy-Jane Rogers, Ph.D, was a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy before giving up her academic career to assist Jason Chan to run the Light Foundation. She has been studying and practising A Course in Miracles daily for over ten years and now her greatest joy in life is to share some of her insights into the Course with fellow students and would-be students.
