Krisztina (flutist) and I (harpist) gave a presentation in a class at UMBC on a piece we were working on in a chamber group. We chose Vincent Persichetti's Serenade No. 10 for Flute and Harp, Third movement. We had had some difficulty interpretting this particular movement and had done multiple experiments to come to our final product. In this presentation, we explain this journey. Hopefully you can hear it. To help with the sound issues I experienced with the camera, I added subtitles. Sorry that I haven't finished the subtitles. Enjoy!

  • You'd just try to count and play rhythmically. One quarter should be equivalent to other quarters. The play is so interesting and beautiful in itself, that it is not necessary to carry out any experimentation on its interpretation. Try to using a metronome.

  • oh my...that's a longgggggg time, you're gooood at it haha you probably hear that a lot
