20-part cycle for female voice and instrument(s) written between 1962/72, inspired and performed here by Michiko Hirayama. The piece employs traditional Japanese vocal techniques
I have the suspicion that even the most hardened avantgarde connaiseur might have difficulty sitting through all of the 20 parts, so I picked out some of the more "giving" parts, given the rather sparse nature of it all
