@jr543266 they work in any key. if your in A minor then A is going to be your 6(aeolian) and C(Ionian) is your 1. so a minor would be the same thing as C major

Good lesson. But aren't those modes for songs in Major Keys? What if a song is in A minor? You would use different scales then right?

@jr543266 yea you're right. these chords are for major a major key. As @mikesheldon15859 is saying, the relative minor key for Cmaj is Amin. So instead of your Amin being your 6, it'll be your 1. So then the chord sequence will change to Amin, Bminb5, Cmaj, Dmin, Emin, Fmaj, G7. But the major and minor scales that were used here, can be used over the same chords.
