  • now could just normal running be goo enough to build speed? will it build speed faster? or will weights work better?

  • @SMCCrunningback

Spriting will increase speed faster so as strength & power.

  • chipmunk look for me

  • :) I have to make a video of the other version withstep ladders

  • Its excellent alternative to barbell squats. Talk about an exercise that builds strength and size along with stability! Single leg squats incorporate the need for balance more than any other leg exercise. The more unstable the environment the more the muscles have to work at performing the task. Because you have the added factor of balance, the single leg squat is much more difficult to perform than the barbell squat, just as the barbell squat is much more difficult than the leg press.

  • will this workout improve your speed ?

  • @ThePureOctane ok thanks man what about sprinting until i get titrd walk for 10 second then sprint again?

  • @moviemaster2010 good to hear that man! happy lifting! ;)

  • @alejandrothefader nice 49.12 im at 52.7, thanks I think in the weight room I will just not worry about muscles that I dont need and do general lifting

  • @moviemaster2010 these exercise i mention though, need concentration, good technique and generally talking blood sweat and tears, but they get you far on your training! also, i insist again, do some explosive plyo and weighted running training to be better and not get ever stiff or lose agility! ;) finally, there are some guys out there that know as much or more than i do! i learnt what i told you etc by reading, asking and training and seeing or not results! you re not alone!

  • @moviemaster2010 also, you should know, compound exercises like squats, bench press, incline press, deadlift etc etc are great for your athletic performances! whatever you do in the weight room has to have a purpose OTHER THAN HAVING A GREAT BODY FOR THE BEACH :P so, you don't need a lot of isometric training, isolation lifting etc! you need to hit on your miscles explosively and using them as a system! example: the bench press hits many muscle grups not only chest or triceps!

  • @moviemaster2010 well, look here, benching and upper body are half the running power, and not only that, you need an equilibrated and powerful body as a whole to be able to perform better! for me, my vert got 2 inches only by training in the bench and some powerlifting exercises! what you wand from the bench is either maximum weight training for raw power, and sets up to 3-4 reps (some days)and on the other hand, 40% explosive lifting! and this thing goes for every lifting you do out there!

  • @alejandrothefader wow thanks dude, yeah as far as training for running goes my team has me pretty beat (but running with added weight does sound like it may help so I might try that for summer training), but for the weight room its on our own and I have been doing just a general lifting (bench, squat, curls, etc) however I have been looking around and seeing some weight training isnt useful for the 400. So you recomend squats and step ups, but whats ur view on benching and such?
